Flu Vaccine Q&A as of Oct 19

I am sure you are aware that the H1N1 vaccine is in a bit of a shortage (about 30% less that what they thought would be ready at this point).   Here is a link (the document is attached) with an update and good Q&A. 

The USDHHS has posted an excellent guideline for pandemic planning focused on EEOC guidelines.  It answers such questions as when you can request doctors notes, send people home if they are exhibiting flu-like symptoms, etc.  I was going to summarize the information here, but there is really too much great info to dumb it down that way.  Hope you find it useful!

CDC Oct 2 Domestic Update

The CDC has posted new domestic updates - the statistics are interested in comparison to other years.  Note the sharp uptick in flu like illnesses over other years.  Here is the link - the report is attached.
