Announced yesterday, Open Text Corp is buying Metastorm in a deal worth about $182 million. Very interesting development as there are interesting relationships and competing BPM offerings between Thomson Elite, OpenText, Metastorm, and The Fraymen Group among others.
Most pain points that a firm identifies as candidates for primary process automation are those that operate daily such as New Matter Intake or Check Request. Others tend to be further down the priority list as the frequency of use and pain tolerance dictate.
